The Chordbusters are a group of men who LOVE to sing and entertain audiences of all ages with
their four-part accepella Barbershop Harmony. The Chordbusters have been a chartered non-profit
organization of the Barbershop Harmony Society since 1952. The Chordbusters perform for many
different groups, events, and activities. They have sung for seniors homes, anniversaries, sporting
events, organizations, Festival of Trees, annual Christmas Shows, contests, Spring show, Star-lite Review,
and other events and activities. With the fact that the Chorus sings four-part harmony, there are several
formal and informal quartets within the Chorus. Two of these quartets will be performing on the show.
The “Possible Side Effects” sing a wide variety of tunes, with their forte’ being Doo-Wop. The other
quartet, “A Touch Of Fun”, has been together for over 20 years with their specialty being comedy. The
Chorus will be joined also by the Central Chamber Singers, who will have just completed a full day of
solo competition at the Performing Arts Center that same day.
The Chordbusters rehearse even Thursday evening at the Davenport Family “Y”, 606 W 2 nd Street
Davenport, second floor. Rehearsal time is 7:00pm. All rehearsals are open to any interested male,
young to “old”.
The Chordbusters is working on its Annual Spring Show, 57th Annual Show, “Celebrate Harmony, A
Salute to Barbershop”. This happens to be the Barbershop Harmony Society’s 75 th anniversary. The
show will be held at Assumption High School, 1020 W Central Park, Davenport, 7:00pm.
