THE SAINT LOUIS COMMUNITY CHOIR
This enthusiastic group of talented young people from the bi-state St. Louis area was formed in 1978, and has shared the stage with dozens of well-known artists through the years, including the great Al Green.
In addition to performing regularly in St. Louis and touring, the St. Louis Community Choir has recorded several well-received singles and albums.

Sharing the stage with the St. Louis Community Choir will be DeWitt's very own
BELLA CANTA

Bella Canta, Italian for "beautiful singing", is an ensemble of six to eight area women performing sacred and secular music from Renaissance to contemporary eras both a cappella and accompanied. The group lives up to its name, performing at a variety of community events. Gillian Miller is the ensembles founder and musical director.

July 8, Daily rehearsals July 8 - 13, performances on July 13, 2013 - Snow White - Children's Theater

In cooperation with the Missoula Children’s Theater, the Central Performing Arts Center will sponsor a Children’s Theater Workshop and Production.

Pre-registration for students completing grades K-12 have been completed. Role assignment auditions will be held at 10:00 am on July 8, 2013 at the Central Performing Arts Center, 519 E. 11^TH Street, DeWitt, Iowa 52742.

Rehearsals and workshops will be conducted every day from 10:00 am to 2:30 pm at the Central Performing Arts Center, 519 E. 11^TH Street, DeWitt, Iowa 52742.

The performances will be on July 13, 2013 at 3:00 pm and 5:30 pm and will be presented at the Central Performing Arts Center.

September 25, 7:30 pm - The World Famous Glenn Miller Orchestra

The World Famous, Glenn Miller Orchestra is the most popular and sought after big band in the world today for both concert and swing dance engagements. With its unique jazz sound, the Glenn Miller Orchestra is considered to be one of the greatest bands of all time. The present Glenn Miller Orchestra was formed in 1956 and has been touring consistently since, playing live dates all around the world. As of January 2011, trombonist Gary Tole is the orchestra's musical director.

Glenn Miller was born in Clarinda, Iowa and established his band in NYC in 1939. Miller, however died only 5 years later in a military transport plane flying over the English Channel. Miller’s music lives on with the "World Famous Glenn Miller Orchestra", which performs over 300 shows each year.
